Middle Georgia EMC and Walter Harrison Scholarships

 

Instructions and Rules

  • Submit applications to Middle Georgia EMC by Monday, Feb. 6, 2012.

  • The student must be a senior or undergraduate student already accepted at an accredited college or technical school.  If the student is not yet accepted this information will be required at the time the scholarship is awarded.

  • The student must receive electrical service from Middle Georgia EMC or have a close relative receiving electrical service from the Cooperative.  This includes a son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandson, granddaughter, brother or sister.

  • Complete the application form with the necessary attachments.

  • Middle Georgia EMC will award three $1,000 scholarships and submits one entry to represent Middle Ga. EMC in the statewide Walter Harrison Scholarship contestTo be eligible for the Walter Harrison Scholarship the contestant’s primary residence must be the household of an Middle Ga. EMC member.   If selected by the statewide committee, the applicant will receive a $1,000 scholarship in addition to the $1,000 awarded by Middle Georgia EMC.

  • The Walter Harrison Scholarship may only be used at a Georgia college or technical school.  The Middle Georgia EMC scholarship is not limited to Georgia universities, colleges, or technical schools.

  • Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college, junior college or technical school.
