About High Pressure Sodium (HPS)

High pressure sodium is a very efficient lighting luminaire. Compared to mercury vapor about 45% less energy is used and there is about 10% more light output. HPS does emit a yellow or pink colored light, which is softer and reflects less. To some people this does not appear as bright as the mercury vapor, but the specifications show that it does have as much light output (lumens) as the mercury vapor. Another benefit to HPS: it seems to attract less bugs.

All lights require a minimum one-year contract. Overhead service wires are extended up to 150 ft. free. Fiberglass poles are $2.00 per month extra on flood lights
