Washington Youth Tour

Each year Middle Georgia EMC selects three students to participate in an all-expenses paid summer trip to Washington D.C. An outstanding opportunity to see your nation's capital at work, the hundreds of students who attend from around the country get a unique view of how their government works, including some behind the scenes visits with their legislators. Of course, there are plenty of tours to some of D.C.'s great monuments and museums.

Eligibility Requirement are Listed Below:

Be a sophomore, junior, or senior in good standing with your school.
Be 16 years of age before June of the year going to Washington.
Have parents written consent.
Parents do not have to be Middle Georgia EMC members.

To apply for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, students must submit a written essay on an assigned topic during March. Interested students should contact their school counselor, our Member Services Department or email roberth@mgemc.com for details and the essay topic deadline.
